Interested in global opportunities? Stop by the Straight Feb. 3

Cornell Abroad – celebrating its 30th anniversary – will present the first International Opportunities Fair Feb. 3 to give students information on credit and noncredit programs during the academic year, summer, winter and school breaks, as well as service learning, internships and funding.

Cornell staff of college-based and universitywide programs will be present, along with two dozen representatives of study abroad programs outside Cornell.

The inaugural event supports President David Skorton’s call to increase the number of students who have a meaningful international experience as part of their Cornell education to 50 percent.

The International Opportunities Fair will be held 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3 in Willard Straight Hall. Three $1,000 travel vouchers will be raffled at the event.

Feb. 3 is also Passport Day, when all members of the Cornell community can apply for or renew passports from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Willard Straight Hall.
