Staff forum addresses immigration, refugees

Members of the Cornell staff community are invited to a lunchtime forum on immigration, refugees and citizenship Tuesday, Feb. 28 from noon to 1:30 p.m. in G10 Biotechnology. Lunch will be provided; register online to attend.

The interactive forum will address the differences between immigration statuses (citizen, immigrant, visa holder, green card holder, refugee, undocumented); how issues of immigration impact staff; and what Cornell staff can do to promote a culture of respect in the workplace around issues of immigration status.

The forum is hosted by the Department of Inclusion and Workforce Diversity in the Division of Human Resources, and the International Students and Scholars Office, as part of Cornell’s ongoing efforts to promote an inclusive and supportive workplace climate for all.

For questions or accommodations to attend, email sherronbrown@cornell.edu or call 607-255-3976.
